The recent growth of the outdoor industry and social media wanderlust is changing the way many people interact with the outdoors. The improvement in navigation, integrated with modern technology has allowed the average person to explore places they wouldn’t have been able to in the past. Even with maps, way-finding systems, and GPS technology, people are still finding it hard to navigate their way through unfamiliar territory. People should be able to use the technology to their benefit without having the worry of going too far, getting lost, or by simply not being an expert outdoorsman.

WILD is an interactive navigational application that combines resources from current working systems and integrates them into a more simplified GPS mapping system, allowing beginner to novice hikers to be able to experience and navigate the outdoors with confidence and ease.
