On My Own Derech

On My Own Derech is a collection of interviews from people who have left or who are looking to leave Ultra-Orthodox Judaism. The term “Off the Derech” is a derogatory term that means “Off the Path” and is popular in describing people who have left. On My Own Derech is reclaiming the term in a positive manner. The goal of this project is to show people that life after leaving is both possible and fulfilling. While its primary audience is people looking to leave, it also serves as an educational tool for those who don’t know about the harsh reality of leaving Ultra-Orthodox Judaism.
